  24.                 This is release 5.12 of SlideManager.

  26. Note that the documentation file is no longer being updated on disk. 
  27. Rely on this file for changes to the operation of SlideManager. 
  28. Registered users, of course, recieve a fully up to date printed manual.

  30.                        Installation and Use
  31.                        --------------------

  33. SlideManager is installed by simply placing all of the SlideManager
  34. files in the same directory.  Make sure that SLDMGR.EXE, SLDMGR.HLP and
  35. SLDMGR.PDL are located in the same directory.  Start SlideManager by
  36. typing SLDMGR and pressing return.  This can be done either form the
  37. directory containing the SlideManager files or from another directory
  38. if the DOS search PATH has been modified to contain the directory where
  39. SlideManager is located.  Starting SlideManager with no parameters will
  40. give a brief summary of its features and options.

  46. latest version of this program are available from the address below for 
  47. a $25 ShareWare fee.

  62. the user for evaluation.  Feel free to share it with your friends, but
  63. please do not give it away altered or as part of another system.  The
  64. essence of "user-supported" software is to provide personal computer

  66. incentive for programmers to continue to develop new products.  If you

  72. book.  An example is that this software may be used by any number of

  84. contact John Intorcio at the address above for authorization.  This
  85. authorization will be automatically granted to distributors recognized
  86. by the (ASP) as adhering to its guidelines for shareware distributors,

  88. (However John Intorcio must still be advised so that the distributor
  89. can be kept up-to-date with the latest version of SlideManager.).

  113. You can get a brief explanation of SlideManager's command line mode 
  114. options by typing SLDMGR ? at the DOS prompt.

  116.                           Presentations
  117.                           -------------

  119. SlideManager's Presentation Mode can be used to create automated 
  120. presntations of slide files.  To use it, create a file with the 
  121. extension of .SHW containing the SlideManager commands you want 
  122. executed.  For example, to display the slide file called SLIDE1 until a 
  123. key is pressed, then display SLIDE2 for 5 seconds, and then display 
  124. SLIDE3 for 10 seconds, your .SHW file should contain the following 
  125. lines:

  129.                 s SLIDE3 10

  131. The rpesentation will repeat itself until you interrupt with a 
  132. Cntrl-Break.

  137. This program was originally developed using the Microsoft QuickC
  138. compiler Version 1.0 on a Taiwanese clone and had been tested with
  139. slides created by AutoCAD Version 2.18, 2.6, and 9.0.  Version 3.0 was
  140. re-written for Borland Turbo C Version 1.5.  Version 4.0 was developed
  141. and compiled with Turbo C Version 2.0 and tested with slides produced
  142. by AutoCAD Version 10.0.  SlideManager 5.11 has been tested for
  143. compatibility with AutoCAD Release 11.  Version 5.12 was developed on a
  144. Gateway 2000 386 using Borland Turbo C++ 2.0.
